Duties of the Role
Working closely with the Senior Facilities and Safety Manager you will undertake a key administrative role focussing on asset management, compliance and service contracts at the University’s Southend and Loughton campuses. Whilst this role is primarily based at Southend you will be required to frequently travel to the University’s Loughton campus to provide administrative support to technical operatives. You will be part of a wider administrative team who contributes significantly to the golden thread of information and achieving section objectives linked to building safety.
You will frequently liaise with customers responding directly to general facilities management enquires. The role will require you to allocate and then monitor the status of scheduled planned preventative maintenance tasks as well as any reactive works assigned to the in-house teams covering both hard and soft services.
Skills and qualifications required
The successful candidate will be proficient in the full Microsoft Office suite and will ideally have experience of working with CAFM systems. You will be a confident communicator and have excellent organisational skills which are well suited to records management. You will be able to prioritise workload and think on your feet in a faced paced environment, ensuring that all planned and reactive tasks are allocated and scheduled appropriately.
You must hold a current, UK valid, full driving licence in order to operate campus vehicles.
