An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the UK Student Recruitment Team as part of the University’s directorate of Communications & External Relations.
This post exists to lead both on and off campus, face-to-face and digital events activities to build and nurture direct relationships as well as with UK schools, colleges and sector bodies to attract student applications from the UK and Northern Ireland. This role is responsible for acquisition activities for both undergraduate and postgraduate applications.
Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of devising and implementing strategies and plans to attract and nurture future students in a higher education context. The post holder will bring a strong knowledge of the Higher Education landscape and its impact on student recruitment and access strategies.
As a member of the department’s senior leadership team, the Head of UK Student Recruitment will oversee the planning and delivery of all activity that engages potential and future students such as our Open Days, external events (for example UCAS fairs), our work in schools and colleges and assist in the delivery of partnerships that aid recruitment of our future students. This is both a strategic and hands-on role. Building strong links across the University and with good use of market intelligence and customer insight, this role will develop customer-focused strategies and operations that will enhance the University’s UK undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD recruitment position employing a sales-minded focus on customer engagement. The role holder will also be expected to champion the University’s ideology of providing a transformational educational experience.
