The role

We’re looking for Research Funding Officer to work alongside our Schools and academics in this key position. Of graduate calibre and a proven track-record of making things happen, you’ll advise and guide researchers (especially those new to securing external research funding) on the UK research funding landscape, schemes and application process with the view to develop high-quality proposals. Astute and highly motivated, you will call on your project management experience and knowledge of research funding to support Schools in maintaining their track-record in securing research funding.

About you

Prospective candidates will have excellent organisational and communication skills, relevant project management experience, and the ability to work confidently and assertively with academic, professional services colleagues and funders, using negotiating and influencing skills to achieve successful outcomes.  An understanding of the research lifecycle and funding landscape are important for this role.  Training and coaching will support the technical aspects of this role.
