The role

We have a new and exciting management position within the newly formed Campus Innovation Smart Technology team.  This role will be key in supporting the Head of Campus Smart Technology to manage delivery of Smart Campus aspirations which will transform how the University manages its buildings through the exploitation of advances in smart technology. 

What will you be doing?

You will manage the planning and delivery of Campus Division complex smart technology projects to support the World Class Campus vision and Carbon Net Zero Sustainability strategy.  You will work alongside a small team of specialists engaged in complex and highly technical work, and customer service.  The role will be working closely with the Campus Digital Development team and our Professional Service Business Partners.

You will need to be a highly skilled individual with experience of working in the building management system environment, understanding networking and smart technology, including IOT technologies, building information management and building energy management systems.  You will be required to analyse information and to overcome technical problems that will have no clear resolution and that may present several technical solutions using innovative thought processes and clear and insightful decisions. 

You have a passion for making a difference; excellent understanding and ability to implement best practices in relation to smart technology development, and continuous improvement with demonstrable success in securing positive outcomes.
