The School of Pharmacy and Bioengineering hosts an internationally recognised translational research facility with a strong international REF2021 profile bringing together molecular biology, stem cell biology, tissue engineering, physicists, chemists, engineers, mathematicians, rehabilitation science and NHS clinicians. Its aim is to improve the health of patients by applying knowledge gained from basic science to develop insights into the causes of disease and novel therapies for treatment.
The School is beginning an ambitious programme of industrial placement activities for its students across all our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team who are passionate about education focused on enhancing employability skills in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, and regenerative medicine. For this post we are seeking applicants with a background in pharmaceutical or pharmacological sciences, and a network of contacts within the pharmaceutical industry who are further able to build upon this to facilitate our students’ placement ambitions. This position will involve close collaboration with staff and students within the school along with external stakeholders and the facilitation of student placement experiences.
