The purpose of this job is to be a trusted adviser working closely with senior managers in Faculties and Directorates to develop local people agendas that align to, and support, achievement of the Faculty or Directorate plans and the overall strategic objectives of the University. The Strategic People Partner will help translate University strategy and the People & Culture strategy into local people plans, and design and deliver organisational change initiatives.
You will have a proven track record of embedding creative strategies that deliver progressive organisational change, building capability, engaging and getting the best from our people and promoting a genuinely diverse and inclusive workplace. Alongside this, you will have experience of translating business priorities into people plans and have experience of supporting organisational change and cultural transformation.
Your experience will also include working with trade unions along with an excellent knowledge of employment law and its application. You'll be a strong team player who will work collaboratively with other People Directorate colleagues to ensure delivery of a professional, high quality and customer focussed people service.
