About the Role

Because we are looking for a Finance Partner to join our Professional Services Finance Partnering Team and support the Estates and Facilities Directorate and IT Services Directorate, within Professional Services. The role acts as business partner lead in support of the University’s 10-year Infrastructure Plan and Strategic Investment Fund.
About You
The Finance Partner will be responsible for the robustness of the University’s Infrastructure Plan and will ensure it is reviewed and regularly updated, considering space requirements and strategic business needs. Progress against the plan will be reported to the Finance and Investment Committee, Council, and the Chief Operating Officer.
You will provide real time support and analysis and be a trusted adviser to your business units, adding value that will assist in decision making.
Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with senior management and their teams is one of your key strengths, and you will be passionate about improving the understanding and impact of financial reporting on business performance.
About the Department
The Financial Management Team is part of the Finance Directorate, and provides business partnering, planning and analysis services to our 3 Faculties, Professional Services Directorates and across our Capital Programme.
This role sits within the Professional Services finance team of 5, working alongside the Reporting and Financial Planning Team.

This post is offered with the opportunity for hybrid working and based at our new Department W building, in Whitechapel, London. The post is a full time, permanent appointment.
The starting salary will be Grade 6 in the range of £51,048 - £56,921 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Please note it is QMUL policy all new successful candidates are appointed at the start of the salary range of the advertised grade, with automatic annual progression to next spine point thereafter, until the top of the grade is reached.
