Research culture has been described by the Royal Society as the, “behaviours, values, expectations, attitudes and norms of our research communities”. The University of Nottingham has many varied cultures, and we’re supporting our Schools, Faculties and Departments to sustain, develop and improve them. In this role you will support the Senior Project Manager to ensure that the university suitably plans and enacts this complex and multifaceted work. This will include administering, planning and organising a variety of meetings, minuting, and relationship building with colleagues across the university. You will write reports, communicate with key stakeholders including maintaining sharepoint site content and provide financial and administrative support for devolved budgets and funds.
You will need to be well-organised, self-motivated, able to problem solve and establish good working relationships with colleagues and external contacts at all levels. Strong teamwork is essential for the role. You will draw on your numeracy and IT skills to enable the effective administration of the research culture work, allowing us to keep improving the experience of working at the University of Nottingham. Knowledge of research and research culture is desirable, but not necessary for the role. The role holder will be offered the opportunity to undertake relevant project management training if required.
This role is offered on a permanent with underlying funding contract until 31/07/2027. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours) ; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 25 hours per week).
