About us
The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources (BSEER) is comprised of four world-class Institutes, providing the expert knowledge collaborative research and teaching of UCL Energy Institute, UCL Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering, UCL Institute for Sustainable Heritage and UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources. BSEER is a fast growing, internationally renowned School for cross disciplinary research with economists, energy modellers, social scientists, building engineers, physicists and heritage specialists all working to mitigate climate change. The Professional Services team of 40 staff provide administrative support to the four Institutes, combining expertise in, amongst other things, management and delivery of research proposals, teaching programmes and staffing/HR administration and finance.
About the role
The position plays a vital role in providing finance administration support across the BSEER by administering the financial activities of the School and provide comprehensive and effective service to all staff within the School. Working closely with the Operations Manager and School Manager the post holder will ensure effective budgetary management and reporting. This position plays a key role in the management and support of UCL-Consultancy projects managed by BSEER and is essential to the continued success of the School’s expanding portfolio. The post holder will have sound financial skills and a broad range of administration skills including relationship-building, client-liaison skills and the ability to learn and develop new systems.

About you
This is a busy role in a fast-paced environment. The post holder is expected to be adaptable, quickly assimilate information and establish their own networks across UCL. The role requires interaction with many people both internal and external to UCL, therefore a professional attitude, willingness to help and ability to remain tactful and assertive are required in order to execute the duties outlined.
