We are looking for a talented, self-starting End-point Specialist to join the UWE IT team.
The University has recently supplemented its SCCM/MECM and Jamf Pro environment by moving to Microsoft Intune and utilising AppsAnywhere, a virtual application solution called to help support Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and remote learning.
The Endpoint Infrastructure team play a pivotal role in ensuring Students have access to the applications and end-user services they need to support their learning. They package, deploy, upgrade and repair applications that are specified by course leaders and Colleges.

The Senior Endpoint Engineer’s role is to provide best practice technical expertise in the operation and improvement of the University’s end-user computing environment and services.
The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge and experience of endpoint management including a varied selection of managed and unmanaged devices and BYOD. They will also be familiar with packaging, deploying and fixing software applications across a large-scale IT estate. They should have current skills appropriate to the administration and development of endpoint management tools, and the preparation of installer files using tools like AdminStudio or Pace, and deployment of them via SCCM/MECM/Intune and Jamf Pro. They will also be used to identifying opportunities for improvement, finding and implementing innovative technology solutions and enhancing the desktop experience for end users.

This is a permanent post and is full-time working 37 hours per week.
