We have an exciting opportunity within the Student Conduct and Appeals Team (SCA) for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in casework to apply and further develop their skills in Higher Education to make a positive impact on the student experience and contribute to the reputation of the University.
You will join a highly regarded, small and supportive team to take an active role in student casework, covering a variety of issues, and including sensitive, topical and potentially high-profile student cases, within a procedural and regulatory framework.
Working in a fast paced and stimulating environment, you will have responsibility for individual student cases, applying the highest standards of accuracy, attention to detail and adherence to procedural requirements and deadlines.
You will contribute to the reputation of the University by supporting fair and transparent processes leading to robust outcomes, capable of withstanding the highest levels of scrutiny.
Educated to degree level, you will have substantial experience of complaints, appeals and/or conduct related casework and of working within a regulatory environment, complying with internal and external deadlines and requirements.
As you will be responsible for drafting letters and documentation and liaising with a range of individuals at all levels inside and outside the University, excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as are effective interpersonal skills.
As this role has a strong procedural and regulatory context, experience of working in a legal environment would be an advantage.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
