UCC wishes to appoint a Senior Lecturer to the Medical Education Unit within the School of Medicine. Reporting to the Head of School, the post holder will contribute to the development and delivery of postgraduate programmes in Health Professions’ Education (PG Cert, Dip and MSc) led by the Medical Education Unit in partnership with the Department of General Practice, and the Schools of Nursing and Midwifery, and Pharmacy. They will contribute to and assist in the delivery of research led teaching, assessment and examining in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and continuing professional development courses.
The appointee will be expected to hold a health professions’ degree, PG Diploma /Masters’ level qualification in Health Professions’ Education or equivalent, MD/ PhD in Health Professions’ Education or equivalent, experience of teaching Health Professions’ Education at postgraduate level and experience of developing and delivering online courses.

Appointment may be made on the Senior Lecturer Salary Scale: €76,934 - €109,009 (Scale B) / €74,297 - €103,558 (Scale A)
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
