International Development UEA provides research administration support to academics in the School of International Development at UEA.
We are a friendly team of 5 people working on research project management and research finance activities and we currently have a vacancy for a Research Finance Administrator to join our team.
You will work alongside academic research leads to provide day to day financial management of grants and projects funded by external funders. You will be responsible for making sure funds are spent in line with funder, and UEA, terms and conditions, and that solutions to queries regarding spend are found.
You will manage project budgets of varied sizes, from £50k to over £800k, some of which are complex. Updating research leads on spend is an important part of the role, as is contact with funders for financial queries, providing final statements when the project is complete, and sourcing information for financial audits.
You will also work closely with organisations overseas, to whom funds are sent, to advise on financial reporting requirements and ensure timely submission of financial reports.
If you meet the essential criteria in the person specification, we would love to hear from you.
This full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term basis to 13 November 2024.
UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and although this role is advertised on a full-time basis, we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part time, job share, term-time only and/or hybrid working. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.
Further information on our great benefits package, including 34 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days can be found on our benefits page.
