The Faculty of Education is looking to appoint two new Finance Coordinators to the Faculty Finance Office. The Finance Office is responsible for all areas of financial administration in the Faculty, supporting and enabling both daily operations and longer term strategic aims with effective financial processes, whilst ensuring University financial policies and procedures are followed.
The two new post holders will join the existing Finance Team of three, and be a key part of the expansion and development of the team as the Faculty increases the finance support it provides.
The overall purpose of these posts is to co-ordinate finance administration services within the Faculty in order to contribute to the management of the Faculty's finances as key members of the Finance team.
The remit of the role covers a full range of financial tasks, including working across AP, AR, GL, procurement and post award grant management. This will include processing financial transactions, monitoring and reporting the financial position of certain activities to budget holders and ensuring financial information is recorded accurately in the University financial system.
The successful candidates will be educated to HND, HNC, level 4/5 vocational or equivalent level of practical experience, and have worked in an accounts or admin based environment. They will have experience of using Microsoft Office packages (particularly excel), and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The potholders will have excellent written, verbal and strong person communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
