The School of Psychology is seeking a qualified Clinician with experience in working in mental health services (e.g. Clinical Psychologists, Counselling psychologists etc.) who has an interest in teaching and training future generations of mental health professionals. Applications are welcome from clinicians working in the private sector as well as in the NHS. We particularly welcome applications from candidates whose clinical interests complement our existing areas of academic expertise and who can also demonstrate their suitability to teach clinical content to psychology students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Applications to work on a part time basis are warmly welcomed, as we acknowledge and support that some candidates may wish to continue clinical work alongside this role.
This is a particularly exciting time for the School of psychology: since February 2022 the School has been running a Clinical Associate Psychologist (CAP) apprenticeship with NHS partners, and in September 2023 we are planning further, major new initiatives in clinical Psychology. These new developments are planned to improve local healthcare provision and open up careers for students of psychology. The successful candidate would have a key role in these new programmes and join our expanding and enthusiastic clinical teaching team.
