The Faculty of Arts & Humanities is seeking to appoint an Executive Officer to lead the delivery of operational services in each of our two Schools and to provide support to the academic leadership on the delivery of strategic projects and business planning. The role will be an integral part of the School leadership team, with responsibility for the delivery of comprehensive, effective and efficient administration and operational services and for ensuring the effective business planning and project delivery.
The Role
You will work closely with Head of School to lead on high level projects within the School and accross-Faculty, as well provide support for such areas as Business Planning and the realisation of Faculty and School Strategic Objectives. You will lead a local team of skilled administrators to operationalise the Strategy and provide exceptional administrative support to Academic Departments and Research Institutes. You will work in partnership as a duo of Executive Officers to harmonise processes across teams based at School and Faculty level.

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis. The role will be based at either the Avenue Campus, Southampton or Winchester School of Art.

About You
Prospective candidates will have excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills with strong attention to detail. We would be particularly interested in candidates who have relevant process improvement, project management or strategic planning experience, and the ability to work confidently and assertively with academic and professional services colleagues.
To be successful you will be a motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive team player who is culturally sensitive and is able to work effectively in a flexible and responsive environment. You will also be able to effectively prioritise your workload.
