About the Role
The postholder will be responsible for developing relationships with businesses and organisations interested in engaging students from disciplines across the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Faculty as Internship hosts as well as cross-selling other suitable engagement pathways with the University. Although based in the central Careers and Enterprise team, they will work closely with the Faculty, to ensure alignment with Faculty strategy and goals.
About You
The Internships Team Leader (HSS) will line manage the HSS Internships Team and be responsible for supporting them to upscale combined internship outputs across HSS to 500 annually. Internship opportunities will include (but are not limited to) paid internships, micro-internships, large scale hack programmes and job shadowing. The post holder will have targets to deliver a certain number of opportunities for six HSS Schools, with targets related to student headcount.
About the Department
Careers and Enterprise develops the employability of Queen Mary University of London students and graduates by helping them to find and prepare for work, including internships and part-time jobs. We are a team of 43 FTE staff, working across all undergraduate and postgraduate Schools at Queen Mary. This post will be part of an Employer Liaison Team taking a coordinated approach to external liaison maximising all forms of work experience for students. They will work with other staff across Careers and Enterprise to offer a comprehensive programme of activities and events which employers can engage in, maximising progression opportunities for students and graduates to improve Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) results and to encourage them as alumni to support current students ontheir career journey both within the UK and internationally.

The post is based at our Mile End Campus in London. It is a full time, indefinite appointment. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £41,386 - £48,414 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
