About You
The Department of Sport Science is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology. You will be a great communicator and team player. You will deliver undergraduate taught modules, supervise undergraduate projects, and contribute to the employability potential of our students. Primarily, the successful applicant will be required to deliver Exercise Physiology modules on our Foundation degree in Sport and Exercise Science and our BSc (hons) Applied Sport Science (top-up). You will be joining an experienced academic team where high-quality mentoring will be provided.
Ideally, you will be research active, have a PhD, and your research will have societal, sport performance or economic impact. The post-holder will be joining sport and exercise scientists and social scientists in the Sport, Health and Performance Enhancement (SHAPE) Research Centre.
As part of our commitment to ‘success for all’, NTU has partnered with Vision West Nottinghamshire College in Mansfield to offer alternative routes into higher education. The NTU University Centre is located at Vision West Nottinghamshire College’s Derby Road campus. The £6.5 million University Centre officially opened in 2016, and from September 2020, became NTU’s hub in Mansfield to deliver a range of programmes that reflect the local job market. The successful candidate will deliver on the Foundation degree in Sport and Exercise Science at NTU in Mansfield.
The Department of Sport Science resides within the School of Science and Technology and there are excellent collaborative opportunities with colleagues in Biosciences including the John Van Geest Cancer Research Centre, Chemistry and Forensics, Computing and Technology, Engineering and in Mathematics and Physics. Nottingham Trent University has a long and established history for delivering sport-related programmes.
