The University of Manchester is seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our team as a Global Mobility Assistant – Immigration. As an internationally recognised institution, we are committed to attracting and retaining top talent from around the world.

Working closely with a Global Mobility Officer - Immigration, you will undertake a range of advisory, support and transactional activities relating to the employment of international staff and compliance with UKVI regulations. You will be the first point of contact for managers and new/existing staff, providing advice and support relating to the immigration and visa application processes.

You’ll focus on:

  • Maintaining effective administrative systems for international staff recruitment and employment, and accurate and up-to-date records for ensuring compliance with UKVI regulations
  • Assist the Global Mobility Officer - Immigration in the collation of documentation, preparation and application for Certificates of Sponsorshi
  • Provide prompt, accurate and helpful information to international staff, University colleagues and P&OD colleagues in response to enquiries relating to visas, immigration matters and Certificates of Sponsorship
  • Preparation and issuing of appropriate correspondence and documentation to support the activities

As a successful Global Mobility Assistant - Immigration, you’ll have:

  • A CIPD qualification to level 5 or equivalent level of knowledge gained from experience in P&OD/HR administration
  • An up-to-date knowledge of immigration and employment related-legislation
  • Experience of processing Skilled Worker and Temporary Work-Government Authorised Exchange Certificates of Sponsorship
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to providing excellent customer service
