Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit and Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU) is a major international research institute within Oxford Population Health, and is one of the world’s leading centres for research into chronic diseases, especially heart disease, kidney disease and cancer. 

We are seeking a Lecturer in Statistics and Epidemiology to teach and support graduate and mature students whilst conducting some independent research contributing to the wider academic team in Oxford Population Health. The post-holder will be involved in the delivery of the MSc Global Health Science and Epidemiology and related short courses, and will be expected to contribute to the development of appropriate materials and support the wider teaching team with modern digital teaching methods.
 
To be considered for this role you will have a post-graduate degree (MSc or PhD) in statistics or epidemiology, or related numerate discipline. You will have an aptitude for teaching and experience of teaching at university level with the ability to support the use of technology for teaching and learning. You will also have excellent oral and written communication and teaching skills with a proficiency with statistical software.
 
The post is full time and fixed term for 3 years (in the first instance). The closing date for applications is noon on 22 June 2023.
