The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to join the management accounts team supporting the Biosciences Institutes in the Faculty of Medical Sciences based within Newcastle University's Finance Hub. The Hub is a large team of skilled and experienced colleagues who manage the financial business activities of the University. We provide a professional and proactive service to our students, colleagues and stakeholders. We are committed to supporting the personal and professional development of our team.
As a key member of the Finance community, you will have responsibility for supporting the financial management of the Faculty's Schools and Institutes. You will lead on the development of short to medium term financial plans for the academic unit, provide regular reporting and have responsibility for the quarterly forecasts. As well as working with finance colleagues, you will engage day to day with the School and Institute leadership teams of non-Finance professionals with a focus on supporting decision-making and assisting in the delivery of strategic and operational activities. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
