Role Summary

The BBS Careers Digital Experience Manager provides digital tools and services that enhance the students’ employability experience. This role is an essential role within the BBS Careers team ensuring that all resources – people, processes, digital platforms, and artefacts – are effectively and efficiently managed to enhance the overall BBS Careers student offering while aligning with the university-wide Careers Network digital experience team.

The post holder will work with the Business School careers service along with the wider College of Social Science and University careers team (Careers Network) to deliver an engaging digital experience to all Business School students. They will draw upon their expertise in all things digital to enhance the team’s online delivery that improves the engagement, employability skills, and outcomes of our students.

Person Specification

  • Relevant degree or relevant equivalent professional experience or qualification.
  • Authoritative knowledge of UX and procedures relevant to the role.
  • A passion for communications and creating engaging content.
  • Highly proficient IT skills, including the MS Office suite. Ability to find and learn innovative technologies and teach others.
  • Familiarity with HTML or willingness to learn is beneficial.
  • Experienced or knowledge on editing video and picture is preferred.
  • Confident and articulate written communicator. Experience communicating to an international audience is preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet targets, with minimal supervision to deadlines.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills that will help to identify and implement improvements and efficiencies across the project or projects you work on.
  • Excellent people management skills, with either proven experience or aptitude/willingness to learn.
  • High level of self-motivation and personal accountability with ability to plan and deliver goals to deadlines.
  • Experience of championing Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in own work area.
  • Ability to identify issues with the potential to impact on protected groups and take appropriate action.
