The Energy and Bioproducts Research Institute seeks applications for a full-time Project Manager to manage the EPSRC/BBSRC-funded interdisciplinary Supergen Bioenergy Impact hub for a 4 year period. The project manager will be responsible for the overall administration of this large collaborative project, providing support and management to the Principal Investigator of the project and the project partners.

The Supergen Bioenergy Impact Hub project manager is responsible for the overall management and administration of the £6M Supergen bioenergy hub, a large collaborative project incorporating numerous academic and non-academic (industry and policy) research partners. Duties will include legal and financial establishment of the consortium, planning, implementation and monitoring of research progress. This will require organisation of regular meetings at locations in the UK and overseas, preparation of reports and coordination of the interactions of partners to facilitate project objectives.

Knowledge of the energy sector, climate change, environment and bioenergy will be required to carry out the role but can be developed during the post with evidence of appropriate aptitude/enthusiasm.

PRINCE2 would be preferred

The post holder is expected to autonomously progress project activities (including with external links) without supervision between meetings with the PI. Objectives will be agreed upon and direction provided, but decision-making on procurement, engagement and practicalities will be the responsibility of the post holder.

We are open to delivery of this role on a full-time or part-time basis as it will be supported by a project administrator who will be recruited on a corresponding part-time or full-time basis.
