Applications are invited for a temporary 12 month post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering.
The Centre of Micro/nano Manufacturing Technology (www.mnmt-dublin.org) has been established at the University College Dublin (UCD) to deliver high-impact, innovative science and engineering research. MNMT-Dublin has particular focus on development of medical devices enabled by its featured technologies and machines in high precision manufacturing. The Centre brings together a multi-disciplinary team of over 20 PhD and Post-doc researchers in manufacturing engineering, medical devices and optics, in fundamental and translational research.
Project Description: 3DMA brings together an interdisciplinary team to develop microneedle devices for transdermal drug delivery. The project aims to address some major challenges faced in this sector, such as applicable dosage, manufacturing cost, ease of use. The project will develop partnership with some connected companies and endeavour to commercialise the devices.
Postdoctoral Researcher 2017 Level I Salary Range: €42,033 - €48,427 per annum.
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
