University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking an experienced Qualifications Development Officer to join our team on a full time basis.
This post is based in the UAL Awarding Body. We design and award creative qualifications that empower and inspire educators to help students reach their potential. UAL Awarding Body is regulated by Ofqual, Qualifications Wales and CCEA Regulation at Levels 1 to 5 of the national qualification framework.
UAL Awarding Body has a pipeline of new qualifications in development for 14 -19 and 19+ year olds, and a qualifications revision cycle that needs to be undertaken to meet regulatory requirements and exploit commercial opportunities.
You will be responsible for managing and undertaking qualification development activities, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. Your role will involve collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders about new and existing qualifications, as well as providing regular progress reports to the Qualifications Development Manager and Head of Qualifications and Assessment.
You will also oversee the maintenance and evaluation of existing products in the UAL Awarding portfolio. This will involve actively identifying opportunities for enhancement, withdrawals or amendments, ensuring compliance with regulatory conditions.
About You
You will possess a strong background in qualification design and development, with a comprehensive understanding of the qualification development and design cycle. Your project management skills, particularly in Agile PM, will be essential, including experience of leading multiple projects.
It is also essential that you have a solid understanding of the regulatory landscape and can ensure UAL's qualifications comply with the Regulators' Conditions of Recognition, including those set by Ofqual, CCEA Regulation, and Qualifications Wales.Your excellent project management and communication skills will ensure seamless collaboration across multiple projects and enable you to prioritise your workload effectively.
