Due to promotion within our team we are currently recruiting for two Assistant Finance & Contracts Managers to join us! This is a pivotal role that helps to ensure the effective delivery of the finance and contracts service within our co-ordinating centre

What will you be doing?

Working within the Finance and Contracts team you will be supporting the Finance Managers with the financial and contractual administration of research programmes within the Southampton NIHR Coordinating Centre. Some of the key tasks of the role are:

  • Reviewing and approving contracts and contract variation documentation
  • Reviewing projects financial reconciliation statements
  • Releasing, monitoring and reprofiling project payments
  • Providing support and advice on financial processes and procedures

  • Ability to organise and prioritise your own workload
  • Be analytical and self-motivated
  • Able to work independently and problem solve as well as contributing to the wider team
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Comfortable with working with numbers 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office especially Excel
