Are you interested in undergraduate education and keen to contribute to exciting improvement projects in that field?
The School of the Biological Sciences is looking to appoint an Undergraduate Education Project Co-ordinator, to work alongside the Education Projects Manager and support its curriculum reviews and process improvement projects.
The Faculty of Biology is responsible for undergraduate teaching and examining in the Medical and Veterinary Sciences Triposes, the Natural Sciences Tripos and the Psychology and Behavioural Sciences Tripos, covering around 2500 undergraduate students.
In 2021, the School of the Biological Sciences initiated two exciting large-scale strategic reviews of its undergraduate teaching: the Medicine and Veterinary Medicine Curriculum Review and the Biological Natural Sciences Curriculum Review. These reviews are anticipated to significantly change course content, structure, teaching delivery and assessment.
We seek a committed, professional individual to support all aspects of the curriculum reviews and the associated undergraduate education projects. The role will include varied tasks such as minute-taking, event coordination, communication, and data analysis. Being a competent and attentive listener who can link different ideas and report them in structured and accurate reports will be a great advantage. One current project includes enhancing our administrative processes and would appeal to those interested in data analysis and process improvement.
Skills essential to this role include experience organising meetings and taking minutes, excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and excellent communication and organisational skills.
Applications are welcome from internal candidates who would like to apply for the role on the basis of a secondment from their current role in the University.
