To lead the MSc in Safety and Risk Management and contribute to building the PGT/research offering of the new Strathclyde Centre for Occupational Safety & Health (SCOSH).
The Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL), part of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, has delivered an online, part-time Masters programme in Safety & Risk Management (SRM) for over 20 years. It is well regarded in the sector, carries IOSH accreditation and attracts students from across the globe.
This programme is an important part of the new Strathclyde Centre for Occupational Safety and Health (SCOSH) launched in May 2023. This new initiative will ‘house’ all CLL’s health and safety-related activities and build further upon these. This new post will provide leadership of the MSc programme, research/PGR activity and development and identification of new PGT opportunity.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-respected Masters programme and to contribute to the development of SCOSH as part of CLL. A centre which prides itself on its people-oriented approach and proactive and commercial track record. The post would suit someone with a proven track record in health and safety and experience of the HE sector. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed.
Informal enquiries about the post can be directed to Alix McDonald, Head of Centre for Lifelong Learning (alix.mcdonald@strath.ac.uk).
