We have an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to work within the MRC International Statistics & Epidemiology Group. The group comprises 35 statisticians and epidemiologists based in London and at research centres in Africa, with an extensive portfolio of research covering a range of diseases of major public health importance, including HIV and sexual and reproductive health, TB, malaria, emerging and neglected diseases and mental health.
The successful applicant will lead all aspects of the administrative and financial management of a portfolio of research projects. As a key member of group and first point of contact for those projects, the post-holder will provide guidance on their management and administration, working closely with the Principal Investigators (PIs), Programme Manager, and liaising with partner institutions.
The post-holder will have higher education to degree level or equivalent or substantial relevant experience alongside evidence of continuous professional development. Substantial relevant experience of providing proactive administrative support in Higher Education (or similar environment) and working closely with academic staff members is essential. The post is available until 31 October 2024 on a full-time or part-time basis (0.5 FTE-1 FTE) commencing immediately. Subject to further research grant funding, the post may be extended.

The salary will be on the Professional Services scale Grade 5 in the range £38,282-£43,947 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
