Job description

The King’s Business School Careers team support our students’ career planning, application processes and professional development throughout their studies. We are a team of nine, all with a passion for our student futures and we have a friendly, helpful culture operating in a flexible environment.

It is an exciting time for Careers at King’s Business School, with the team playing an increasingly central role in delivering an exceptional student experience. As the team has grown, it requires high calibre administrative support to ensure it operates effectively, student engagement is high and positive and we are data-driven in our work. This role will support the delivery of workshops, appointments and events and will be able to create and own processes and new projects. They will support with student engagement, from responding to queries to supporting our own student staff team and assisting with the delivery of our professional development offering. The applicants will work with the full Careers team as well as internal and external stakeholders and regularly engage with students.

This role is an opportunity for an individual who wants autonomy, to use their own initiative, is data-driven and analytical and has a desire to make an impact on young people’s futures.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract contract

This is a full time post

Key responsibilities

Student support:

  • Manage the KBS Careers inbox and be the first point of contact for student enquiries
  • Establish and manage appointment booking systems for new and existing students and staff, ensuring students are using career resources and eligible for appointments and evaluation system is established
  • Support the planning and delivery of in person and virtual careers workshops; includes set up and running of Teams events; booking spaces and catering and recording attendance and managing follow up.
  • Supporting students access careers resource

Communications & Marketing

  • Compile information on upcoming careers events and disseminate these through the Careers page, website, emails, social media, student intranet and any other relevant platforms
  • Supporting with the creation of communications strategy, including engaging with students and stakeholders for material, plotting and managing a communications calendar

Reporting

  • Maintaining records of career activity a log of all careers activity running for new and existing students
  • Creating and running reports of career activities and events accessed by students
  • Providing regular (weekly / monthly) reports of student sign up and attendance at career activities to contribute to wider careers provision
  • Provide summary reports of student feedback for career activities

General Administration

  • Liaising with finance and external stakeholders to support with payments, including raising PO numbers, organising invoices and general financial administration
