Background
This role sits with the Marketing and Student Recruitment team within the Marketing and External Relations Department. We are responsible for planning and delivering City’s undergraduate and postgraduate marketing and student recruitment activities in the UK and overseas. This role is part of the International and Postgraduate Marketing team, who are responsible for promoting City and its postgraduate course portfolio in the UK and international markets to increase student leads, applications and enrolments.
Responsibilities
You will contribute to City’s marketing activities with a focus on international markets and in support of the International Student Recruitment team. The role entails working on marketing and communication activities, including email marketing, content creation, CRM, advertising, research and insights, recruitment events promotion and web-content. You will collaborate with staff across the University, with responsibility to implement targeted campaigns for both overseas prospective students and applicants.
Person Specification
You will have experience of working in a Higher Education marketing role with robust knowledge of the sector, student journey and digital trends. Experience of working on marketing and communications activities is required, especially email marketing, content creation, multi-channels campaigns, and managing end to end projects. The role requires excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills. You will be a team player with the ability to also work independently, with excellent copywriting and proofreading skills and a great eye for detail.
