The VISA Team are a dedicated team of ethical and professional immigration specialists, who are committed to the quality delivery of an authentic student support service through positive engagement. Providing visa and immigration advice and promoting the continued duty of care owed to all, as we strive to enhance both the student and staff experience. The VISA Team support students to be compliant under their Student visa status and ensures the university is compliant under its UKVI licences, supporting colleagues across departments in adhering to the university’s sponsor duties and responsibilities.
This International UKVI Compliance Officer (VISA) post is a new role based in our GCU London campus created to provide international UKVI compliance advice and support to linked internal departments and campuses, alongside our existing Glasgow role. This role will assist in delivery of student support provision as part of the VISA Team across both campuses, while performing key SMS reporting functions and conducting data analysis to provide proactive international UKVI compliance advice and support.
We are looking for an organised and problem-solving individual who has a demonstrated history of working in a high-demand area, managing multiple priorities within tight timescales who will positively contribute to enhancing service delivery. With an experience of working with international students and a working knowledge of International (and EU) Student Immigration, the post-holder will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to uphold the VISA Team’s vision of providing an authentic and professional support service. A confident and compassionate individual and a team-player is required to balance delivery of student support with excellent customer service while undertaking a key support role in the university’s preservation of our UKVI Sponsor Licences.
