|£33,966 to £45,585 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

This is a new role within the University’s Research and Innovation (R&I) Division, which will help to complement our existing business strengths and support the ambitious research growth plans of the University and our Research & Knowledge Exchange Strategic Delivery Plans.
As part of the Research Systems and Business Improvement team the post holder will play a key role in supporting the co-ordination, facilitation and delivery of several programmes and projects designed to improve the researcher experience and overall research performance as outlined in the university’s Research Strategic Delivery Plan.
The post holder will ensure the effective delivery of the priorities outlined in the Research Operations business plan and will work closely with colleagues in Schools and Faculties, Professional Services and other teams based within R&I. This programme of work includes the implementation of a range of process and continuous improvement projects including the development and maintenance of project specific risk and issue logs and progress reporting.
Candidates will be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of work-based experience and will have experience of working in a large organisation. Individuals will need excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Alongside this they will also be able to demonstrate a wide range of project management skills including proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
