The Apprenticeships Unit has the delivery of high-quality apprenticeships at its heart. The Unit provides the central link between employers, apprentices and programme delivery teams. We are focused on making a difference in people's lives and the success of businesses and the economy. Working with a wide range of stakeholders, including local and national businesses, from large multi-national organisations to small and medium-sized enterprises. The Apprenticeships Unit has responsibility for administrating apprenticeship provision that meets statutory, mandatory and regulatory requirements.
As Apprenticeships Operations Manager, you will lead the Apprenticeships Operations Team who support the administration of the apprentice journey from on-boarding to End Point Assessment. You will design, develop and implement standard operating procedures to support the operational delivery of Apprenticeships. Maintain an understanding of the regulatory requirements associated with apprenticeships and to ensure compliance of the university for internal and external audits and monitoring visits related to apprenticeships e.g., Ofsted, the ESFA, and for OfS external quality assurance of End Point Assessment.
To be successful as Apprenticeships Operations Manager, you will be educated to at least degree level or equivalent with proven experience working in a similar role, managing a large team in a complex administrative environment, managing cross-institutional processes, and excel at building strong relationships with stakeholders. Have experience with external regulation and ideally understanding apprenticeship compliance requirements within the ESFA Funding rules.
You will have a keen eye for detail and accuracy of information with the ability to develop standardised approaches. With significant people management experience and demonstrated capability to manage performance in a fast-paced and highly regulated area. Have experience working in a change-oriented, dynamic environment, with the aptitude to manage their workload and meet tight deadlines, with the proficiency to engage and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. You must demonstrate your passion for delivering a first-class customer experience and high-quality service is essential.
