This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively as part of a wider HR team as the Learning and Development Manager, helping to implement and co-ordinate the organisation development at Bath Spa University.
About the Role
As an experienced and creative learning and development professional you will oversee the design and delivery of a range of events that meet the organisations needs and the staff community. You will manage a budget, ensure value for money and enable streamlined efficient, digital processes for all interventions. Reporting to the Director of HR you will contribute to the creation of a learning organisation, develop our current and emerging leaders and optimise the value that learning, and development opportunities bring to the overall benefits package. The successful candidate will have a creative approach to learning and utilise their connections internally and externally to ensure learning solutions are responsive to needs. You will be able to understand strategic thinking and translate that to the delivery of creative operational requirements that will ultimately make a difference to our student experience.
You will have current knowledge of Learning and Development theory and practice that includes leading and creating innovative learning and development solutions. You will have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across Bath Spa University, as well as excellent digital skills including web-based applications and digital learning. In addition, you will possess a high level of communication and interpersonal skills and show the ability to communicate effectively in a variety of settings both verbally and in writing. You will be confident, creative and able to efficiently problem solve, whilst working to tight deadlines.
