Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure our office between Christmas and New Year

We have an exciting opportunity for an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Support Officer to join a new team with an ambitious agenda that is central to the University’s Strategic Plan.
Main duties and responsibilities
We are looking for someone with the ability to undertake administrative and other support to assist the implementation of our strategies and projects.
You will work with, and support the EDI team with projects, carrying out research to inform policy and practice, managing the team email and communications, contribute to the co-ordination and delivery of the Universities diversity calendar and events programme and helping to develop guidance and training materials. You will also help update and maintain the teams’ communications and engagement platforms including internal and external web pages and utilising the social media channels.
Skills and experience needed
It is essential that you have excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to deal effectively and professionally with all customer enquiries and information requests through multiple contact methods including face-to-face, telephone, IT systems (e.g., email, SMS, Web) and other formats as appropriate. You will be able to deal with staff at all levels as well as respond to students. You will be a good planner and be organised in coping with a busy workload in a complex organisation.
You will also possess excellent IT and social media skills. You will be able to use spreadsheets and contribute to reports. As part of Human Resources, you will be given training, guidance and support.
We’d like to recruit a team member who can demonstrate an active interest in the EDI field.
A-Levels or equivalent qualification or proven professional work experience.
