The Directorate of Information Services are looking for a Product Analyst to join the Corporate Systems Team to technically support a range of Brunel Medical School IT applications. Contribute to the product roadmap and backlog, delivering high quality, documented requirements to ensure timely delivery of agreed workloads through well planned sprints. Work with team members under the direction of the product owner/Corporate Systems manager to deliver the strategy and future plans for the product line.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Work with the product team to size, prioritise and update items in the product backlog.
  • Contribute to the development of one-, three- and five-year plans and on-going future development.
  • Be fully aware of supplier roadmaps and the timelines to deliver new functionality and deprecated functionality.
  • Apply role specific expertise to support the Product Owner in development, maintenance and delivery of the Brunel roadmap and vision.
  • Build and maintain good relationships and open lines of communication with service users, ensuring changes and new requirements are captured in a timely manner.
  • Make preplanned, approved config changes to improve user experience.
  • Responsible for proposing, documenting and seeking approval for solutions to problems raised by users.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Worked with:
    • RISR (Assess and Advance) formerly known as Practique/Kaisen.
    • Sophia curriculum mapping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with university staff at all levels.
  • Ability to quickly analyse and understand business requirements, document and translate into product specifications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and support complex integrated systems.
  • Ability to plan and organise their own work, negotiate and influence and be a subject matter expert in providing the support and understanding in the resolution of complex Infrastructure issues.
  • Ability to analyse and prioritise conflicting demands and provide a collaborative approach to design and service delivery.
  • Understanding of data governance and cyber security principles.
