We are seeking a Director of Registry Services to lead our new Registry Services Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to support De Montfort University in the delivery of its Empowering University strategy, leading the transformation of registry and student administration services to support an exceptional student experience.

Faculty / Directorate

The Registry Services Directorate comprises responsibility for the administration of the student journey from registration to graduation, and consists of the following functions: student records, quality assurance, UKVI compliance, timetabling, student records, examinations, awards and graduations, and student casework. The Director of Registry Services will have leadership of these functions and cross-University responsibility for academic administrative policies; procedures and systems.

Role

The Director will work closely with the Registrar (Academic) and Secretary to the Board, supporting the strategic development and implementation of services. The Director will act as formal Deputy to the Registrar and Secretary, leading on corporate, cross-functional projects, chairing meetings on behalf of the Registrar and Secretary, and deputising for decision-making in their absence as required. The Director will also work closely with Directors of other Professional Services and Directors of Faculty Operations to ensure that the university promotes a joined-up, cohesive student experience across the whole institution.

This role is on a full time, permanent basis.

The salary for this role is £92,000 to £102,500.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have proven experience of leading registry services at a senior level and a track record of delivering outstanding services to support student experience. With an in-depth knowledge of at least one key area of registry activity and the ability to provide strong and effective leadership of quality assurance, they will also have outstanding interpersonal skills and a track record of successfully managing change.
