Job description

The Department of Informatics is looking to recruit a full-time Senior Programmes Officer (Student Experience) to support the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught Programmes during a maternity cover. This role would suit an experienced administrator ready for the next stage in their career.

The Senior Programmes Officer provides essential support to students and academics, working as part of the programmes team to ensure that high quality administrative and student support is provided from enrolment to graduation. Having line management responsibilities for Programme Officers, the role holder is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of programme administration of several courses and ensuring tasks are carried out to a high level of accuracy.

The role includes resolving complex queries and overseeing processes in relation to student engagement, feedback and support systems. The role will involve a varied workload with strong teamwork required to coordinate the cross over of responsibilities to support colleagues during busy periods. It will provide opportunities to further develop your knowledge of regulations and student engagement and to contribute to professional networks promoting best practice.

We have a friendly and hard-working team and looking forward to a self-motivated and inquisitive new team member joining us.

This is currently a hybrid role, and the role holder will spend part of their working week on campus and part of the week working remotely. On campus days are allocated via a rota and requirements may differ at busy times of year.

Candidates should submit a supporting statement that addresses how they fit the essential and desirable criteria within person specification alongside their application, as per the guidelines written on the HR webpage here: https://www.kcl.ac.uk/jobs/how-we-recruit/applying-for-jobs-at-kings.
