Senior Systems Officer

Full-time (35 hours per week)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join the Business Enhancement Team within Development & Alumni (D&A) as a Senior Systems Officer.

The Opportunity:

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of D&A systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyse business requirements, and provide technical expertise to drive system enhancements that deliver value, business benefits and improve the user experience. Your work will directly impact critical data-driven decisions and contribute to the success of the University.

This is an open-ended and full-time position with the possibility of hybrid working.

Your skills and attributes for success:

• Significant experience in the day-to-day support of information technology systems.
• Good working knowledge of using MS SQL with the ability to write clean, readable and maintainable queries.
• Experience of supporting software upgrades or implementations to deliver service improvements with minimal impact on business-as-usual activities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Highly skilled user of Excel with the ability to utilise a range of formula, formatting and functions to analyse and interrogate data, as well as the ability to interrogate multiple data sets as part of a single activity of analysis or reconciliation.
