You will be part of a Student Services team committed to streamlining access to student support and delivering an outstanding service that allows students to receive specialist advice and guidance which are easy to find and access.

Supporting our disabled students is a key priority for the University and we are focused on providing support throughout the student journey to ensure successful academic outcomes. You will be responsible for managing the delivery and development of the Disability Inclusion Services team in providing high quality guidance and advice to students and staff at the University. You will manage a small caseload of disabled students and maintain an excellent relationship with the Faculties and other departments regarding the dissemination and implementation of disability-related support and development of inclusive practice. The ability to self-manage and prioritise is crucial.

We are looking for someone with experience of supporting disabled students to lead our Disability Inclusion Services team. You will have knowledge of disabilities in a higher education context. You will also bring experience of developing a service, you will be creative with a passion for using innovative technology and a commitment to evaluating services and work practices to ensure continuous improvement. Knowledge of relevant legal frameworks and dedication to inclusivity will be essential.

You'll be an excellent team player and able to problem solve and plan work flow to maximise effectiveness and to develop the offer to our disabled students, at times working on projects outside of your own area of responsibility or expertise. You'll be comfortable and calm working under pressure and will be involved proactively in developing disability inclusion with colleagues across the University.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.

This role will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check plus a Adult's Barred List check.
