Annual Leave: 35 days (pro rata) plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year.

The Department of Nursing Health and Wellbeing at the University of Hertfordshire has a range of health care apprenticeships namely: Nursing Associate; Registered Nurse (Adult, Mental Health, Child, Learning Disabilities); Advanced Clinical Practice. We are seeking to appoint an Employer Liaison/Work-based Learning Tutor to each of these apprenticeship programmes.
The Employer Liaison Tutor/Work-based Learning Tutor (EL/WBT) is a pivotal role in the tripartite relationship between the Apprentice, their Employer and the Programme Leader and other members of the academic team and will enhance the apprentice and employer experience over the duration of the apprenticeship programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department apprenticeship provision. You will join a friendly and forward-facing academic team, which is innovating and developing apprenticeship provision.
Main duties and responsibilities
You will support, monitor and review the progress of all apprentices on the programme against the relevant Apprenticeship standard, and act as the main point of contact and liaison with Apprentice and the Employer Mentor/Assessor in their relationship with the Programme Lead. You will work with the Programme Lead to support Apprenticeship data reporting and compliance requirements.
Skills and experience required
You will have academic or practitioner experience in the field of nursing associate, nursing or allied health with some experience of coaching, mentoring or delivering work-based learning or training. The ability to build and maintain good working relationships with learners and employers is essential.
You will be able to demonstrate evidence of excellent communication and teamworking skills. Working autonomously is an essential skill as well as having excellent written, verbal, numeracy and IT skills.
Qualifications required
You will be educated with a minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification, or substantial proven work experience.
