Location: The Arts Tower
The Sheffield School of Architecture and the Department of Landscape Architecture are seeking to appoint a full-time Print and Make Workshop Technician. The post holder will be responsible for assisting with the day to day running of the Materials Workshop in the School of Architecture.
The role will be based in the School of Architecture and Department of Landscape Architecture and involves providing technical support and troubleshooting on equipment including laser cutters, maintaining equipment and providing training and support for staff and students on workshop machinery and equipment. Model making technical advice and support is also an important aspect of the role. Working as part of the wider team, you will be involved with examination and exhibition setups, and maintaining the highest levels of health and safety.
Reporting to the Materials Workshop Manager, the postholder will join a large team of Professional Services colleagues working across both departments to support the delivery of the student experience, research and other core activities of academic disciplines. The postholder will also be expected to fully engage with other professional services colleagues across the Faculty of Social Sciences to ensure the delivery of a first-rate service to staff and students.
