UEA’s Research and Innovation Service (RIN) are looking to recruit a highly motivated Innovation Development Officer to support the delivery of the Agri-Tech Global project (Research England Development fund), led by University of Lincoln, in collaboration with University of Cambridge and UEA. The project focuses on developing international research translation and knowledge exchange (KE) methodologies that deliver meaningful agri-food system impacts through sustainable growth and foreign direct investment (FDI).

You will provide high quality support, project managing and coordinating the various partners, systems, and evidence-base collection. You will be supporting Intellectual Property Managers in the identification and development of Agri-Tech innovations to facilitate relationship development and increased knowledge exchange activity.

In this role you will work closely and collaboratively with staff from across RIN and proactively work with academic teams to work up their ideas for pitching commercial opportunities to the Agri-Tech Global Investment Committee. You will demonstrate an ability in the provision of effective assistance for busy managers, proven organisation and planning skills and a track record in project management. An effective relationship builder, you will thrive in supporting partnership and collaboration development.

You must have a relevant degree or have equivalent level of experience. Applicants will be expected to satisfy all essential criteria outlined in the person specification. 

This full-time post is available from 1 June 2024 on a fixed term basis until 30 November 2025.
