Background

In August 2024, City, University of London will merge with St George’s, University of London, a strategic decision aimed at fostering collaboration and enhancing the quality of education and research in the healthcare domain. The combined university will become one of the largest and most comprehensive suppliers of the health workforce in the capital, as well as one of the largest higher education destinations for London students.

The key focus of the role will be to work with the Chief Operating Officer in the School of Health & Psychological Sciences over this important period to support successful School-level integration following the merger.

Responsibilities

This unique role will combine Executive Assistant responsibilities with project planning, coordination, delivery, and stakeholder engagement.

The post holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and relevant project teams to support and co-ordinate key projects within required timeframes. This will include drafting and assisting in the maintenance of project documentation and action tracking, servicing project meetings, and liaising with colleagues and departments across the School and University.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will demonstrate previous experience in a similar role, with an eye for detail and ability to work to deadlines. They will also possess excellent communication and organisation skills, with an ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
