We are investing in our academic provision, seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Fashion Marketing, one of the largest programmes within the Leeds School of Arts. An MA is desirable, although we are specifically inviting applications from academics with considerable, HE teaching experience in Fashion Marketing / Communication, along with substantial industry experience in the visual communication specialism of Fashion Marketing. Such experience would include, for example, CAD delivery, editorial, styling, creative direction, brand consultancy, and in the context of working across physical and online/digital platforms.
The candidate will be an inspiring, enthusiastic, and experienced academic, keen to influence, and make a key contribution to, the delivery and development of our dynamic provision through teaching, research, and enterprise. The successful candidate will also provide module leadership, act as a year leader, and contribute to the delivery and development of the Fashion Marketing programme, and the wider Fashion area.
With industry relevance and a collaborative ethos at the core of our teaching, we equip our graduates with a diverse industry-ready skill set, along with a solid understanding of the cultural, ethical, and environmental concerns inherent within the fashion industry, preparing them well for the broad range of careers and entrepreneurial opportunities available in fashion marketing.
To arrange an informal discussion, please contact Jo Hamill (j.j.hamill@leedsbeckett.ac.uk).
We aim to interview for this role on Friday 27th September 2024.
Closing date: Friday 13th September (23:59). Please note that you will not be able to edit or submit a part-completed application form after the closing date.
Working here means you’ll also have access to a wide range of benefits including, for example, our generous pension schemes, excellent holiday entitlements, flexible working, reduced study fees, and subsidised fitness facilities.
We welcome applications from all individuals and particularly from black and minority ethnic candidates, as members of these groups are currently under-represented at this level of post. All appointments will be based on merit.
