Full Time/ 5 days a week - Term Time Only Plus 2 weeks
Based across St Albans Campus and Welwyn Garden City
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and dedicated individual to support our students to ensure they reach their full potential. You will need knowledge, experience and awareness of a variety of approaches to supporting students.
The successful applicant will set high expectations for their students and robustly track and monitor their progress on their study programme.
The role will include liaising closely with the Curriculum to ensure they are provided with up to date, accurate information, advice and guidance regarding students’ progress. You will need to be highly organised and have attention to detail, working across all Curriculum levels within a diverse, fast-paced environment. The role will also include 1:1s with students and delivery of group tutorials, so the ability to facilitate learning in groups is essential.
Required skills:
• Guide students across a wide range of curriculum areas, providing timely, transparent, and fair tutorials.
• Provide mentoring through 1:1 session in and out of delivered sessions.
• Can advice and support individuals and groups, providing non-judgemental guidance, manage referrals and update student files regularly, ensuring confidentiality within safeguarding aspects.
• Be prepared to be a student’s safe person.
• Effectively manage a large classroom learning environment having delivery skills within a group setting.
• Hold a teaching qualification or willingness to work towards the Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent
