Applications are invited for a Specified Purpose Cover (estimated duration 36 months) post of a Teaching Fellow in Veterinary Microbiology (part time 0.4 FTE) within UCD School of Veterinary Medicine.
This interesting and varied position will provide an opportunity to work in different areas within veterinary microbiology. The successful candidate will work with colleagues within the Veterinary Pathobiology Section of UCD School of Veterinary Medicine and will participate in teaching and learning of veterinary microbiology in the veterinary medicine and veterinary nursing programmes, including teaching in selected modules across different years of both programmes. In addition, this position will provide a valuable opportunity for the successful candidate to undertake specialist training in veterinary microbiology and to work towards European diplomate status under the supervision of European College of Veterinary Microbiology (ECVM) diplomates.
Salary: €39,000 - €41,000 at pro rata 0.4fte
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
