Job Description
We are currently seeking a Head of Admissions and Applicant Support (Partnerships) to have overall responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of the applicant journey and formal admissions processes for our partnership provision. You will be responsible for all aspects of service design, including statutory, legal and regulatory compliance dimensions relating to Partnership Admissions at Bath Spa University.
About the Role
As our Head of Admissions and Applicant Support (Partnerships) you will lead the strategic development and management of our partnership admissions process, as well as working closely with the Director to shape and implement the Admissions and Applicant Support Strategy, ensuring alignment with the University's strategic objectives. You will lead a team to deliver exceptional applicant support, maintain compliance with external regulations, and enhance service effectiveness. The role also involves collaborating with various departments, including the Centre for Educational Partnerships, to continuously improve processes, develop data-driven insights, and support business growth. As a senior decision-maker, you will manage complex problems, ensure seamless transitions for partnership students, and drive service improvements.
About You
You will be experienced and motivated in leading a high-performing team in managing admissions for UK and international markets. You will have a degree or equivalent qualification and extensive experience in higher education partnership admissions and will bring strong leadership skills, a proven ability to develop staff, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include using student record databases, supporting non-traditional applicants, and ensuring compliance with admissions frameworks. Strong analytical, IT, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing deadlines and share complex information effectively. Knowledge of data protection law related to admissions is desirable.
