Job description
Sitting within the Future Students directorate, this role will lead on the successful delivery, design, and evaluation of high-profile university recruitment events such as Undergraduate Open Days, Postgraduate Open Days, conversion events and Teacher Education Information Evenings, both in-person and virtually.
The post holder will lead a team of individuals who will all work together to contribute towards achieving key student recruitment priorities and targets. Sitting within the wider UK Student Recruitment and Outreach team, the post holder will allocate team resource to work with the schools and colleges engagement officers to ensure school and college visits to the university are appropriately planned, managed and delivered.
About you
This delivery focussed role will work collaboratively with key stakeholders from across the whole university and externally to bring together the execution of key recruitment events. The post holder will continually evaluate and update event delivery and design and will work to ensure the events and initiatives are delivered to the highest standards and are at the cutting-edge, ensuring visitor experience is at the heart of event design. Therefore, experience within event management is essential as well as proven experience in preparing and delivering reports and undertaking market research, with an eye to continually improve service development.
About the role
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification with proven event management experience, ideally within a higher education setting. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to write reports, conduct market research, and plan events systematically. Excellent organisational and administrative abilities are required, as well as a supportive and non-judgmental approach. You should be a self-starter, able to work independently and lead a team in a busy environment with tight deadlines. Experience in higher education policies and a commitment to personal and professional development are desirable.

This is a maternity cover role.
This is a hybrid role, but the successful candidate will be required to work on all event days.
